| What is Sports Vision? | |
|
Sports vision can be broadly defined as “the assessment and management of people involved in sport”. Such broad definition involves all aspects of vision testing, including the basic optometric assessment, the correction of any vision defect and the implementation of vision training to correct abnormal binocular vision. Our statistics indicate that when groups of elite athletes are tested between one in four and one in five athletes are found to have vision defects associated with them performing their sport with sub-normal vision. At MICHEL GUILLON SPORTS VISION CLINIC the assessment of all involved in sport, whether, elite athletes or recreational players, always begins with an extensive optometric assessment and the correction of any vision or ocular defect. The foundation of our Sport Vision Care Programme is to firstly make the athlete “visually normal”.
True Sports vision activity at MICHEL GUILLON SPORTS VISION CLINIC only starts when visual normality has been achieved; it involves “specialised Sports Vision Assessment and training to optimise Sports Vision Strategy. |
