The analytic laboratory has adapted and validated analytic techniques for individual tear (1µl volume) and contact lens analysis that covers a comprehensive range of parameters:
 
  • Surface analysis (Dynamic contact angle measurement: in vitro and post in vivo advancing receding angles and surface hysteresis)
  • Contact lens physical characterisation (ISO/CEN/ANZI compliant measurement of contact lens physical parameters)
  • Lipid compositional analysis (HPLC proprietary quantification of individual lipids of individual tear samples and contact lens extracts post wear or for in vitro analysis)
  • Protein and glycoprotein analysis (Electrophoresis, Western blot, ALISA assay and HPLC proprietary quantification of individual major proteins and inflammatory proteins (inflammatory markers) of individual tear samples and contact lens extracts or for in vitro analysis)
 
OTG Research and Consultancy laboratory facilities services include: contact lens characterisation as per ISO/CEN/ANZI for CE marking purposes or to demonstrate lens care and eye drop compatibility as per CE and FDA requirements (all aspects covered from study design to report submission to regulatory agency); with tear film biochemical analysis contact lens biochemical analysis and surface characterisation.
