The refractive processes in place have been designed to ensure the delivery of the highest level of care in the most convenient manner. Patients interested in exploring the possibility of surgical vision correction at the completion of the optometric examination are given an in depth review of the possibilities applicable to their own case. If they wish to pursue the refractive surgical route a two hour pre-surgical examination visit is carried out at MICHEL GUILLON Vision Clinic; the visit includes eye dilation, tear film and dry eye analysis and unique to our protocol a high magnification examination of the cornea by confocal microscopy. At the completion of the visit a pre-surgical counselling decision appointment is made at the London Vision Clinic with the surgeon, whose decision to operate is ultimate.
The surgical procedure and the first week to first month follow-up is carried out at the London Vision Clinic whereas the longer follow-up reverts to MICHEL GUILLON Vision Clinic. |
