Eye & Vision Measurements
Eye & Vision Measurements
A series of measurements and digital photographs are taken using the hi-tech equipment. These form the database information that is used by the optometrist to determine the correction to prescribe, to analyse the health of your eye and also identify the presence of any ocular sign of systemic conditions.

The routine includes:

Auto-refraction & auto-keratometry,
Video-keratoscopy and video-aberroscopy
Tonometry (Eye pressure) *
Perimetry (Screening of the visual field for anomalies)*
Digital photography of the retina
(Fundus photography) *
Macular pigment optical densitometry

*At times patients ask if we test for glaucoma; these three measurements are part of the glaucoma screening but involve others as important evaluation.
