DRY EYE

Dr Michel Guillon has been researching into dry eyes and its causes for over twenty years and is a world leading expert on the problem. During his research work he has co-developed The Tearscope a unique instrument to examine the tear film.

The clinical programme to assess and manage dry eye problems is a unique programme that has been developed by the company’s own Research and Consultancy Division.   The programme, which is constantly reviewed and updated to reflect new developments incorporates the use of a special eye chamber to represent different environmental conditions such as air plane or office environments.

The programme is in two phases. An initial intensive management phase addresses the signs and symptoms present. Dry eye is a chronic condition; following the initial intensive phase a maintenance phase is instituted to prevent the return of the problem.
