In order to ensure problem free contact lens wear, two systems are in place: a follow-up appointment schedule and a 24 hours on call emergency service.

 

The standard follow-up schedule is customised for each patient, but minimum schedules will be six monthly visits if you are using daily wear contact lenses and three monthly visits if you are using extended wear contact lenses.

 

In the very rare cases of a contact lens emergency, such as a red sore eye or other it is essential to act quickly and appropriately. A rapid intervention avoids long term, permanent damage; to that end you will be given a 24 hour 7 days a week telephone number for access to one of our optometrists.
